Your Itinerary

Image

Day 1 - Fly to Lisbon for a Hotel Stay

The sun-kissed capital of Portugal gleams in the sunlight against the backdrop of the sparkling Atlantic Ocean. With a skyline a watercolour palette of primrose yellow buildings topped with terracotta roofs, the pint-sized city is set across seven hills and it’s easy to explore in a couple of days thanks to a network of traditional trams. Eternally linked to the sea, Lisbon's magnificent harbour is spanned by the longest suspension bridge in Europe. Other landmarks include the World Heritage Sites of Belém Tower and Jerónimos Monastery, both built in Lisbon's native Manueline architectural style.

Image

Day 2 - Embark Seabourn Encore in Lisbon

In Lisbon, you’ll embark Seabourn Encore, one of Seabourn’s latest ships. Your luxury home at sea will keep you well-rested and well-fed with its range of dining options, such as The Grill by Thomas Keller, which serves updated versions of iconic American dishes.  Alternatively get a taste of Italy with an al fresco pizza on The Patio or go casual at The Colonnade.

Image

Day 3 - At Sea

Priding itself on its six-star service and intimate feel, Seabourn dares to exceed expectations on luxury cruising. As well as boasting the highest space per guest in the industry, the ship’s all-veranda suite accommodations feature a personal suite attendant, meaning whether you want a sophisticated cocktail party within your suite or someone to bring you your favourite Provencal rose, you’ll be treated to the six-star service.

Day 4 - Funchal (Madeira)

The Funchal city of today is very different from its fennel growing, pirate days of old. It is in fact a modern, cosmopolitan, rejuvenated city, well known for its many top-class restaurants and its warm all year-round climate and of course its most famous export, footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. Enjoy activities such as diving, surfing, and swimming with dolphins, or simply just enjoy a snack at the numerous “people watching” cafes and outside garden venues.

Image

Day 5 - Santa Cruz de La Palma

This ‘mini continent in an island’ is a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve due to its diverse terrain and natural habitats including its green and leafy north, a dramatic mountainous interior and a rugged coastline interspersed by miles of sandy dunes. The capital city of Santa Cruz de La Palma, is famous for its wooden balconies, cobbled streets and ancient buildings alive with history and culture. A short stroll takes you into the centre of the town, home to naval museums, galleries and historical buildings such as the Iglesia de El Salvador, Church of Salvador.

Image

Day 6 - Santa Cruz de La Tenerife

The largest of the Canary Islands, Tenerife is towered over by a dormant volcano, Mount Teide, and its beaches range from golden yellow to black sand as a result of its unique geology. With year-round sunshine, spectacular scenery, rich colonial architecture and abundant marine life, Tenerife has plenty of attractions for visitors. Lanzarote’s César Manrique also designed Lago Martiánez, an attraction that integrates both volcanic rock and humanity in this renowned piece of work with artificial islands, gardens, bars and restaurants with salt water swimming pools.

Image

Day 7 - Puerto de La Estaca (El Hierro)

El Hierro is the most southerly of the Canary Islands, and its remote and rugged beauty is striking. Its craggy rocks, volcanic landscape and dense greenery make it a great place to go hiking. Explore underwater lava arches by going scuba diving, or take a refreshing swim in the bays and pools.

Image

Day 8 - Las Palmas (Gran Canaria)

130 miles from the African coast, this ‘mini continent in an island’ is a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve due to its diverse terrain and natural habitats including its green and leafy north, a dramatic mountainous interior and a rugged coastline interspersed by miles of sandy dunes. As well as beautiful beaches, year-round sunshine and stunning natural landscapes, Gran Canaria is a melting pot of flavours and cultures due to its unique location.

Image

Day 9 - Arrecife (Lanzarote)

The Arrecife Port is surrounded by picturesque views and natural beauty. Panoramic views from the port take in the islands Montanas del Fuego or Mountains of Fire, a solidified lava mountain range surrounded by dormant volcanoes. The beaches surrounding the port offer white sand, turquoise waters and a range of water sports. Even the shops offer old style architecture, making this a beautiful, historic port to visit.

Covid-19 Policy

Seabourn is in the process of finalizing all required COVID-19 protocols for guests. Below are the measures currently planned, which are subject to change as further details are established. They will be updated in accordance with guidance from public health authorities.

Vaccinations

All guests must be fully vaccinated, regardless of age, in order to sail. The definition of “fully vaccinated” is a minimum of 14 days following the last dose in the vaccine series of an approved COVID-19 vaccine. Proof of vaccination and the dates given will be required (approved forms of documentation will be confirmed closer to time of departure) and must be shown at the terminal prior to boarding.

Pre-Embarkation Screening And Documentation

Seabourn are taking steps to implement COVID-19 appropriate pre-embarkation screening, including:

  • Mandatory enhanced pre-embarkation health screenings, and completion of required documentation – including health questionnaires, Passage Contract, and COVID-19 Risk Acceptance – are to be completed no later than 24 hours prior to sailing. Guest who do not complete the required documentation will not be permitted to board.
  • Seabourn will refer anyone with signs and symptoms of COVID-19, or who are identified at-risk, for additional medical screening before allowing them to board.
  • Secondary screenings (and health checks throughout the cruise) when necessary.
  • Contact tracing is planned for every cruise

Responsible Physical Distancing

Seabourn are making it easier to practice physical distancing by managing the timing, size and flow of groups in on board venues and for events and helping you make informed decisions about what to do on board. Entertainment programs and restaurants will be designed to enhance physical distancing.

Physical distancing will be maintained throughout check-in and embarkation, and will be required in terminals, on board ships, on private islands, and during shore excursions. For now, Seabourn won’t be hugging or shaking hands, but that doesn’t mean they won’t be social.

Masks

When physical distancing can’t be maintained, or when mandated by public health authorities, masks will be required on board, at private islands, and during shore excursions. Masks must be worn in terminals, during embarkation and disembarkation.

Personal Hygiene

Guests will be encouraged to use the hand-washing sinks and hand sanitizer dispensers at venue entrances and in high-traffic areas throughout the ship. Guests will be asked to follow health information about the ways to stay healthy on board and when ashore through daily programming, entertainment systems, announcements, in-stateroom literature and our app. There will be no self-service for meals. Seabourn will do the serving for you.

Safe Shoreside Experiences

Seabourn are working with local authorities, destinations and tour operators so that the enhanced health and safety measures on board are maintained ashore. They will follow the health protocols for every port they visit. There may be a reduction in the capacity of excursions and tour vehicles. Only shore excursions that comply with their prescribed protocols will be permitted, with strict adherence required of all guests and denial of re-boarding for any guests who do not comply.
