Departing 27 Nov 18
Discover Southeast Asia’s most evocative destinations during this extensive tour of Vietnam and Asia cruise.
Fly to Singapore for a night to explore. Although Singapore is a cosmopolitan and fast-paced metropolis, don’t let the staggering skyscrapers deceive you – there’s bountiful outdoor space to be explored which can offer a welcome respite from the buzz of the city. Kranji Beach tells a haunting tale of war history, while Gardens by the Bay is a tropical and mesmerising haven. Travel a short distance away from the centre and you could find yourself in an ancient rainforest or nature reserve, where bananas grow and monkeys swing through the trees.
The following day you’ll embark Sapphire Princess for your cruise of Southeast Asia. Explore Bali’s lush landscapes of rolling paddy fields and white sand coastlines. Take some time out on the picturesque beaches, enjoy a relaxing spa treatment or take an excursion to Ubud. Situated in the cool mountains here you’ll find terraced rice paddies peppered with Hindu temples and a thriving centre of traditional crafts and dance. Admire the shimmering Petronas Towers and discover incredible street food in Kuala Lumpur; and multicultural Penang and Phuket’s stunning scenery, before arriving back in Singapore.
From here, embark on an incredible discovery of Vietnam during a series of immersive tours. Vietnam’s compact capital city, Hanoi, is the perfect place to begin, as you visit sights such as the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda and Temple of Literature. At the heart of your time in Vietnam is an overnight voyage on a traditional Junk Boat as you cruise the emerald waters of Ha Long Bay. Watching the sun sink behind the swooping jungle-topped limestone arches as the last light fades is an unforgettable experience. Your final destination is Ho Chi Minh City where you’ll visit the famous Cu Chi tunnels, a complex, underground network of tunnels that offer a historic glimpse into the city’s past.
