Life on Board Balmoral

Overview

Balmoral

Balmoral is Fred. Olsen’s smallest ship, and with that comes a wonderfully intimate cruising experience. On board, you’ll find four restaurants, a speciality dining venue, nine bars and lounges, two pools, and generous open decks, all designed for relaxed days at sea and evenings spent among familiar faces.

Balmoral’s compact size is her greatest asset. She can navigate places larger ships simply cannot reach, from Norway’s Åkrafjord, where she passes beneath a low-hanging cable en route to the spectacular Langfoss waterfall, to France’s River Seine, winding through the Normandy countryside to Rouen. She’s even able to sail the Kiel Canal, lowering her mast to glide beneath its bridges while bigger ships must divert around Denmark.

A nod to her heritage sits proudly on her bow: Balmoral’s crest replicates Balmoral Castle, the Scottish residence of the British royal family, reflecting Fred. Olsen’s long-standing links with Scotland, where the family still holds an estate today.

  • Occupancy 1325
